Meet Angela Whitlock
Angela Whitlock has been privileged to work with seniors in the healthcare field for almost 20 years. Today, Angela is FamilyCare’s Vice President of Client Services and helps senior clients achieve their goals for independence, support, comfort, and safety.
After graduating from Radford University in 1992, Angela studied at the Medical University of South Carolina with an emphasis on health administration. In 2012, she received a Masters Degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. Her career began in medical equipment services coordinating between senior clients, their physicians, and insurance intermediaries. She also worked for a regional HMO as a Supervisor in its member services division, coordinating client services and payments. She is a Certified Senior Advisor and a Certified Geriatric Care Manager.
Angela has served on the board of the Portsmouth Service League, is the past chairperson of the Portsmouth Social Services Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Portsmouth Task Force on Aging.
Angela grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, and currently lives in Portsmouth, Virginia, with her two sons.
